Compressed Air Foam Systems (CAFS) have been demonstrated as the most effective means of generating a high-energy foam product with superior knockdown propulsion and protective capabilities. Using less foam concentrate than nozzle-aspirated systems, CAFS can extinguish fires up to 10 times faster than plain water, and continue to smother the fuel well after the flame has gone.

OFB1 Foams are independent of water quality and can be used effectively with salt, fresh or brackish water against Class A, B and D fires.
